My Darling Jock,
Well, here it is back to letter writing again, after the wonderful 5 days we had to-gether, although it went so quickly that it only seemed like one day.
It is now 10 past 11. Sanday & Barbara took us down to their place for tea to-night, & we had a couple of drinks of Sherry to help settle my nerves. After tea I put Brian to bed in their bed as he was very tired & at about 8 o’clock Sandy went to see George Freebody & was only going to be 10 mins but didn’t get back until 10.30 & the boys & Barbara & I were nearly asleep on our feet (or in the chairs I mean) Then he poured us out another Sherry & then brought us home at about 10 to 11 & he helped me get the boys into their pyjamas & put them to bed, & he told me that if their was anything I ever wanted to just yell out. I’m very pleased that they took me down there as I didn’t really like the idea of coming straight home to an empty house.
I hope you had a good trip Darling. Did you stay at the army camp in Sydney after you arrived?
Well I had better close now Honey, as I have a splitting headacke & am very tired, so I think I will go to bed.
I shall be loving you forever my Darling,
Yours Always,
Sandra. xxxxxx

My Dearest Jock,
Well here I am at the airport it is now 11A.M. & I have about 40mins to wait so I decided to write to you. All morning I have felt very lonely & empty inside & now that I am alone I would love to have a good cry. I have got a big lump in my throat & tears in my eyes, & I am finding it very difficult not to cry. The tears are just rolling down my cheeks now & every one is looking at me & I feel a bit of a fool. I guess you are well on your way by now. I hope you have a good trip Darling & I hope you are able to have a sleep on the plane as you must be tired.
Allan slept in this morning & he brought me to the airport. We left their place at about 10.20.
I hope you didn’t get into trouble for being late back into camp last night.
I just can’t think of anymore to write about just now Darling, I will probably write some more on the plane. Except of course to tell you that I love you very much Darling, & I always will.
Well here I am on the plane and I haven’t any more to write about so I will close now Darling hoping to hear from you soon.
All my love forever,
Sandra. xxxxxx
P.S. We are due to land at Canberra at 12.25.

My Dearest Sandra,
Well darling I am back again in this great country, and am missing you very much my dear. Got to the camp late last night (Thursday 4th) and was very tired, couldn’t sleep much on the plain trip up as all I could think off was you and the boys and how I am going to miss you all. Got up this morning and not a word has been said about me being late, have been given two hours to get ready to go out on a ten day ambush, won’t be able to get any mail out to you my love but I shall write every day. Sandra this note will have to be short as I have a lot to do to get ready. I love you Sandra I love you more than anything else. It was just wonderfull to be home with you, I didn’t want to come back here as you know, but it will never happen again my dear. May God bless and protect you and the boys. Loveing you forever.
Yours always,
Jock.
Sandra I love you. xxx.
