My Darling Jock,
I was so thrilled to receive your letter to-day Darling, it’s just great to hear from you. It’s a shame that you will have to wait for 10 days before you receive any of my letters.
I was reading in the Army paper which I received to-day that next month, you will get a new tropical combat dress. It is designed to give Infantry men added coolness, more comfort, protection against insects and thorns, & ready access to essential items without hampering combat efficiency. But I guess you will read about it yourself when you get back in from your ten day ambush.
I love you very much Darling, & I pray that God will protect you & help you through your lonliness & hard times over there.
Well I must close now Honey as I want to get a bit of ironing done before I go to bed tonight.
Your everloving & faithful wife,
Sandra,
xxxxxxxx
P.S. I posted that film away to-day.
I love you.

My Dearest Jock,
This will only be a short note Darling as it is very late as I have been ironing for hours & I have still only got about 1/4 of it done, it’s going to take quite a while to catch up on it after not doing any ironing for a couple of weeks.
I wrote to Mrs. May last night to let her know that I had received the slides.
There is another Postal strike on Thurs, Fri & Sat so there may be some delay in some of my letters getting to you.
Gee it’s going to take a while to get used to being without you again Honey, not that I could ever get used to it, but it is worse now than before.I love you so very much Darling & I miss you terribly, I can hardly wait for the next few months to pass, so that we can be to-gether again for always, it will be just great.
The boys asked me to-day if they could listen to you on the tape-recorder, but as I was busy washing & ironing to-day I promised I would let them listen to you to-morrow, & I will also try & fill one of the tapes to send to you too.
I wish that I could realy express my feelings for you on paper, but I can’t, I just love you so much I could cry.
Time is getting on so I must close now my Dearest, just remember that I shall always love you Jock.
Yours Forever,
Sandra.

My Dearest Jock,
I posted a tape to you to-day, I hope you have received it , & have been able to play it back, as I know how good it is for me to hear your voice on the tape & I guess it would be much the same for you to hear me & the boys.
I have just written a letter to Joan & Bert, explaining why we didn’t get out to see them, when we were in Sydney.
I told you on the the tape about Bert calling last night well he called again this morning to use my brush & polish to clean his shoes. Then as I was on my way down town this morning, he was walking & I couldn’t very well drive past him & so I gave him a lift & he bought the boys a paddle pop each at the shop. He said this morning that he would only be staying in the house over the road for a couple of weeks & then he would shoot through to the Northern Territory or somewhere, after the sale of his place was fixed up. But it’s hard to say what he’ll so. I don’t think he knows himself what he’s going to do.
It’s a long weekend here this weekend (That means an extra day leave you’ll get when you get back). It’s a cracker night to-morrow night & I bought the boys a packet of sparklers to-day, as I think that any of the others may frighten them, they will probably not be game enough to hold them.
Apparently the postal strike I was telling you about won’t affect the mail going through, it is only the postal workers behind the counter that are on strike & it only effects telegrams & money orders & things like that.
Well I will close for now Dear, hoping this finds you well & not too lonely, I will be loving you forever my Darling, may God Bless & protect you always.
Your everloving wife,
Sandra.
xxxxxxxx
I love you.
