Demonic Goat

I’d like to say that I’ve named that pic “demonic goat”, and I think our city is a lot less interesting without Danny. Lara

Demonic Goat

I bought this one off Danny in the Phoenix in about 1999 for $20. Culturazi

Leaves Waves

Danny said it was leaves and waves with a difference. Sally

Painting

I studied at art school with Daniel and remained good friends with him. I bought this painting from Daniel just two and half weeks ago.

He painted it, using acrylics, after mingling with the crowd outside the Dendy at the opening of Mama Mia. Its title is “Dancing King”.

Contrary to your experience of Daniel, which I’ve just read on Culturazi, I had many sane conversations with him right up to the time a last saw him. Daniel, despite his health, somehow always managed to exude charisma.

Fond thoughts of Daniel from all of us at Craft ACT and especially from Ali Baba (Daniel’s nic-name for me), I will miss him.

Alice.

Ben Dickson

This is a fairly recent photo of Danny. It was taken by me at the bus stop next to the Boulevarde on London Circuit. I think the photo displays his sense of humour. Ben Dickson

Magda

Here’s the painting I have by Danny. Called The Piper at the Gates of Heel and inspired by a play he had just seen. Magda

“The self is the meeting place for all the forces in the world”

Daniel made this picture for my mum because it was her birthday back in 1998 when I needed to buy a present for her.  We used to hang out at the Phoniex and chat n draw things – he was definitely a friend and even though he was a little smelly :)

Smiles,
Marney :)
